NOTABLY SPEAKING.
Bob Howard more-or-less looks, on a purely mundane level, like Simon Pegg. He's a little bit shorter than Mr Pegg, standing a mere 5'8"; he's also on the chubbier side of things, with the general physique and complexion of the hard-core always-seated-at-the-computer geek. And so, on a purely mundane level, he's pretty much completely insignificant, except perhaps to those who'd note that he is always, but always, festooned with some sort of computer peripheral... thing, of one sort or another.

Those who are aware of the more-than-purely-mundane will quite possibly be aware of the nature of those computer thingies; Bob's world's physics operate in such a fashion that the Platonic realm of mathematics (and, especially, computerized mathematics) can, essentially, summon up demons: a sort of constant low-level "Demonology for Dummies"-type energy emanating from his iPhone and whatever else he has on him.

(More than anyone else's iPhone, that is.)
